A Philosopher has rightly said that “Hope is the pillar that holds up the World”.
Thousands of students from different corners sharing a mutual passion and spirit to fight against CANCER have stood so strong that Limca Book of Records has to take notice of their enthusiasm. It was an event called HOPE- A fight against Cancer organized by The Big Brother Foundation in association with Wilson College BMS at Girgaon Chowpatty on 31st July 2015.
The Big Brother Foundation, a leading NGO, working actively to aware people against cancer and also empowering woman and underprivileged kids has initiated the event with support of 2776 students from 40 colleges and 10 schools. The students have formed a large mosaic holding umbrellas in their hands symbolizing Hope against Cancer. Mr. Sachiin Joshi, Vice Chairman of JMJ group of companies, Bollywood Actor and Founder of The Big Brother Foundation along with his wife Mrs. Raina Joshi were also part of the event.
It was the first time that such a big mosaic was created with such a huge number of students. A strong message resonated that we are under same roof when it comes to fight against Cancer and we are the HOPE against Cancer. In addition to the awareness the Big Brother Foundation has also raised 2 lac rupees for treatment of Cancer patients from this event.
An unmatched enthusiasm of young students and determination of a Visionary leader has given a big boost of motivation to all of us and we hope many such events will be organized all over the country to make people more aware about Cancer and raise funds for treatments of poor and underprivileged cancer patients. It has moved heart of those who witnessed it and has given new lease of life to many kids.
